Last time in the Korean language class we learned that they use two different numbering systems here in Korea. One for counting material, one for counting money and people. That’s pretty confusing. And when they tell time to someone, the hours are said in the different system than the minutes. Seems very rational, I will never learn this language even I got 12 points out of 13 in our last test..

Thursday evening was cool. We got together with the old gang and enjoyed pretty spicy chicken near the South gate off campus after hard day of studying. We were so effective at the day that we even got our Chinese visa applications finally sent and we bought flight tickets to Shanghai and back. I applied for double-entry visa, cos’ I’m planning to go to Shanghai again later on the summer to see my friend from Lappeenranta. He got this one trainee position and he’s going to spend his summer there! Maybe a few days visit on my way back to Finland..

I have this Korean food class in which we go to a field trip on every first Friday in every month. The idea is that the professor introduces the Korean food culture and tells more detailed information about it while eating. I like this concept. The professor said that she have received lot of good feedback from the students and the university itself. And why not, it is always good to study in a practical way!
