I have attended all my classes this week although my throat is still a little sore from last week’s illness. At the mornings my greetings to my roommate are quite bass–driven ”Good morning, what a great day..!” My first Korean language classes took place this week and it doesn’t actually help my throat because we have to repeat almost everything the teacher is saying to us. Anyhow that does a lot of good for my learning, but sometimes I can’t hear is she talking in Korean or in English..
On Tuesday we had to represent our own, new business venture in this Management in venture technology class. I had a group of Koreans and I, and so we decided to meet on Monday and prepare the show. We had it done, but again I did most of the speaking in the preparation and in the class. Actually we had originally teamed up with the other exchange students, but when our teacher saw it last week, she broke the original teams and assigned the teams so that every team had one exchange student in it. I understand that it is better for multicultural learning to have locals in your group, but we think it was because the Korean English skills why our teams got broken. They are really trying at their best thought!
We have been told that on Tuesday we get our ACRs (Alien Registration Cards) and passports back as they were needed to process the ACRs. Noouu. We had a trip to the immigration office and got our passports back, but the ACRs are going in few weeks. I was already imaged to go and open my own Korean phone account on Tuesday. You need the ACR to do that..
