Today I was traveling to Daegu. I was even more nervous about it than being here at Seoul. Okay Daegu is much smaller city than Seoul, but there I’m about to see my roommate and other exchange students, the people that I’m spending my spring with. I had bought the KTX-train to Daegu in advance, so all I really had to do is to pack my things and be at Seoul station before 10 AM, the time my train departed.

That wasn’t that easy as it sounds..! Waking up was horrible... The day before, February 26th as I entered the hostel at the evening the receptionist said that there is a Finnish girl in my room. That she had arrived only few hours ago. I was like ”Okay wow! Cool!” She said that she is coming from Beijing, as she had been in North Korea. There is these arranged trips in which you can enter North Korea, but the trip starts at Beijing.

We had a long, very interesting conversation about her trip to NK! She flew to Pyongyang with Air Koryo (the North Korean airliner), visited the Kim Jong-Il’s tomb and visited the JSA’s blue house from the side of North Korea! All this by herself! Pretty AWESOME!!

The funniest thing happened, as we asked each other where are we from. She said ”Hämeenlinna” and I said ”Lammi”. She then took this unrealistic sight in her eyes, looked at me and said: ”I’m from Lammi too.. I only said Hämeenlinna cos’ nobody knows Lammi”. What the #!_$!?!! There we were, at the Seoul in a random hostel room, both coming from Lammi..!

I really hadn’t get too much sleep at the night, as I was updating this blog and talking with the Finnish girl, or should I say Lammi-girl. But few hours’ sleep, packing my backpack and there I was, pretty tired, on a road again, this time heading for Daegu!

My buddy was there picking me up at the Dongdaegu station with his friends. We had a lunch at the Korean restaurant and headed to Keimyung Universitys’s campus. Got a key to my dormitory room, laid my backpack to floor and laid myself to the bed for good!
