Thing I really like at Keimyung is that they have these international weeks in the International Lounge. One country at a time is issued a two week time, and during those two weeks there are movies, songs and decoration from that country and people have the possibility to learn the basic language spoken in the country. The two week period is culminated to this presentation held by an exchange student from that country. This week it was Finland’s turn, so I volunteered to do the presentation with Otto.

We had a good preparation. Almost two days doing nothing else than the presentation. In the mean time we had a break on Wednesday at the Seomun market organized by the International Lounge. Got some souvenirs to bring back home.

The presentation, it could have gone better. We had some technical problems, the sound wasn’t on during the videos, but afterwards it felt good that we had the opportunity to promote Finland and at least try to tell some uncommon facts & stories from Finland. Our audience were satisfied at the latest when we started our servings including coffee, chocolate, candies, cookies and salmiakki form Finland.

It was again time for another farewell on Thursday. Mr. Cho from the International Affairs office was heading to business trip to France, he wasn’t going to see us again. Again we had a chicken & beer dinner, this time with him, his assistant and some exchange students. 18 days left in Korea..
