Guys had found this one YouTube-video where one Korean man eats living octopus (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_asfHD1r2Ek). It was Friday, and we have had discussions about going out and taste the living octopus. Some people were brave enough to say that they are going to eat it! Max from Germany found a local guide to take us to the restaurant, and there we went!
I was promised to record the whole session to my GoPro. Eating the living octopus looked too groovy for me that I was not going to eat it. When the chef served the Nakji (a plate full of chopped tentacles) and said that the octopus is the only meat available here, I changed my mind. That didn’t look that bad. Okay the tentacles were wiggling all over the plate (check the video HERE), but it wasn’t actual intact octopus. We had really good time at the octopus restaurant! There were many different dishes e.g. squid pizza and squid wok, so we really got into the taste of living octopus!
Saturday marked the day me being in South Korea for a month. It didn’t feel that long. On the afternoon we had a tour to see the Nakdong River flowing near the campus. We happened to find the ARC and a Gangjeong-Goryeong Weir dam aside the River. After the tour it was time for dinner, which we had at downtown at Traveler’s Bar&Grill. I was really hungry and took the house’s challenge, a burger with 2 pounds of meat. I got it done, and there was still room for few beers..

Henri
